Broadband Provider Championing Connectivity for Rural South West through Rebrand

An independent internet provider that delivers ultrafast broadband to rural areas, has announced a different look.

Wessex Internet, which connects Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and South Somerset is hailed as a champion of connectivity by communities that had previously been relying on satellite and 4G to get online.

On its website, it says: "We work with communities to find areas calling out for better broadband, and then partner with dedicated community champions and parish councils to make every project a success."

Adding: "As a local and independent business, we have experienced first-hand how the digital divide is affecting the lives and livelihoods of our communities."

Now, the Blandford based internet provider has undertaken a major rebrand of its identity for the first time since its launch in 2012.

Managing Director Hector Gibson Fleming said: “Following an exciting few years of change and growth at Wessex Internet, now is the right time to change our brand to reflect our mission, passionate attitude and fantastic team.

“As an independent Dorset business, we’ve experienced first-hand how the digital divide can affect the lives of everyone living in countryside communities.  Our mission will always be to ensure those communities aren't left behind; even when that means making connections where other companies are unwilling, or unable, to go.

The company says it has given internet access to communities based in the depths of villages, and also to individuals living in the middle of forests. Anyone who is living in a remote location and unable to get a suitable internet connection is advised to get in touch.
