Data Duopoly today announced it opened a fundraising bid for £600k EIS for its large seed round.

Driven by data and creativity, Data Duopoly create the best possible visitor experience through the development of mobile applications. Its products aim to solve the issue of congestion and frustrations experienced by visitors by facilitating personalised incentives to actively disperse large crowds and monitoring real-time busyness of areas. The technology provides unique data insights about how visitors are using the site, helping venues to make informed operational and strategic decisions.

Data Duopoly closed its first seed round in Q1 2021, securing its fundraising goal of £250k from 4 Angel Investors and backing by the European Space Agency and Aerospace Cornwall. Now revenue generating, the business seeks investment to support market expansion plans.

CEO and Co-Founder Tanuvi Ethunandan says “We want to be the Waze for people and have set ourselves the ambitious target of securing 25 new clients over the next year. The pandemic has hit visitor attractions and town centres particularly hard; our technology can assist with venue and area recovery. Incentivising visitors and managing visitor flow in a sustainable way that supports social distancing while optimising capacity.”

The current fundraising round will enable further technology advancements, building out of the in-house development team and expanding marketing activity. They aim to onboard 5 University Campuses and be integrated in 20 new venues by the end of 2022.

Data Duopoly have previously worked with recognisable brands The Eden Project, The National Trust Tin Coast Partnership and Falmouth University.

Data Duopoly will close its avocado round early next year. EIS is available for the full round, with limited SEIS remaining. Interested parties are invited to contact co-founders Tanvui Ethunandan and Erin Morris directly on LinkedIn, via the website or email info@dataduopoly.com for further information.
