Is immersive tech the future of business?
Explore what to expect from the metaverse and how key sectors like retail, healthcare, wellbeing, education, gaming and creative can utilise the trend in an exciting new conference at Falmouth University next month.
A programme of guest speakers and panels from across the UK will provide an insight into what’s next for the innovation at the inaugural ‘Plug into the Metaverse’ conference on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 February at the Penryn Campus.
Confirmed speakers include tech expert and Immersive Wire editor Tom ffiske, hospitality consultant and VR specialist Tracy Cosgrove and design, technology and innovation consultant Dean Johnson.
Tom Ffiske said: “I envision the metaverse will touch all our lives in some way. From changing how we see digital ownership, to new virtual spaces, the actual shape and form are difficult to define, but the natural evolution is happening today and will continue throughout the 2020s.”
Brian Waterfield, Head of Immersive Business at Falmouth University, explained why the metaverse is something that can’t be ignored: “Like it or not the metaverse is here to stay. We need to embrace this new way of thinking and utilise it across sectors to reach customers differently, increase brand engagement and innovate education and training. Come and join us to explore the impact of immersive tech on every aspect of our lives.”
