Tech South West and Deepbridge join forces to raise awareness of early-stage investment opportunities
Tech South West has partnered with Deepbridge to run a series of events aimed at Angel Investors and Professional Services Firms - the life blood of the S/EIS investment ecosystem - to help raise awareness of the opportunities early-stage investing can present, and to highlight the different routes to accessing the sector.
Ben Cooper, Funding and Business Support Lead at Tech South West, said: "Investing in innovative, early-stage tech companies is both exciting and rewarding, and HMRC's highly beneficial SEIS & EIS tax incentive schemes are a key mechanism for encouraging private investment into the sector.
"Without it, those fledgling businesses would struggle to get off the ground and make the differences many of them do, to our economy, our environment and to our lives. The levers of other government support via sources such as British Business Bank and Innovate UK, which often requires matched funding, would also likely grind to a halt.
"These events will help to raise awareness of the options available and facilitate easier access to funds for South West tech firms."
