Knowledge Bank partners with Propflo to help mortgage advisors benefit from green home improvements
Knowledge Bank has partnered with Bristol firm Propflo to offer its brokers access to a one-stop-shop for green home improvements.
Mortgage advisors can now access the entire Propflo platform, including the ‘GreenVal’ tool, which simplifies the process of engaging clients in green home upgrades while providing incentives for mortgage advisors.
With £250bn investment needed to bring UK properties up to standard, and 80,000 homes requiring retrofitting per month, green home improvements are a national priority. Mortgage advisors, who facilitate over 80% of mortgage lending, are crucial to raising awareness among homeowners about energy-efficient upgrades. However, time constraints and limited incentives have made it challenging. The Propflo platform addresses this by engaging customers on behalf of mortgage advisors and offering commissions from improvement suppliers, which can range between £350 and £725 per property on the Basic and Standard tiers.
Mortgage advisors can share the GreenVal tool with customers or embed it on their websites, allowing homeowners to:
- View the short- and long-term benefits and costs of making a property more energy-efficient.
- Get quotes for a variety of home improvements from accredited local and national suppliers.
- Explore low-cost, DIY improvement opportunities available for direct purchase.
- Gain insights into how a property impacts personal wellbeing by rating factors such as thermal comfort, air quality, and financial stability.
