Major new Digital Devon event for businesses aims to accelerate innovation across the county

A major new full day event to boost digital adoption among Devon’s businesses will be held on 9th June 2026 at the Rivera Centre, Torquay.  

The conference will feature keynote speakers from companies including Microsoft, PwC and Cosmic and bring together businesses and tech innovators from across the region.

It is being held to ensure that ‘no business in Devon is left behind’ by equipping attendees with all they need to know to enable their business to keep pace with advancing technology.

Attendees will leave with a Digital Devon Wayfinder Guide, a practical roadmap, developed by experts for businesses to enable them to take the next steps in their digital journey.  

The event is being run by Devon Chamber of Commerce and is open to all businesses.

Digital Devon will help businesses understand what opportunities and efficiencies digital technology both now and future, including a focus on AI. The event is the first in a series of planned activities and forms part of a five-year programme which focusses on bringing and delivering practical and accessible information and support for businesses across Devon. It is for organisations at every stage of their digital journey, from SMEs beginning to explore new tools to those already advancing their use of AI.

The rapid evolution of all things digital and AI means businesses need opportunities to connect and learn. Digital Devon will give businesses, in all industries, the insight, skills and confidence they need as well as a practical roadmap for their business to take away. This is the start of a 5-year programme from Devon Chamber to ensure no business is left behind when it comes to digital adoption.”

Breakout sessions throughout the day will offer practical, bite‑size learning designed to help businesses apply new ideas immediately. An exhibition will showcase tech and digital organisations from across the South West.

The programme will explore some of the most pressing opportunities and challenges facing modern organisations, including:

  • AI Skills and Application
  • IT and Cyber Security
  • Digital Skills and Careers
  • Governance, Ethics, Skills and Culture for a digital business
