Totnes touchdown: Filmily provides unique video content for San Francisco 49ers

Devon-based fan engagement platform Filmily is supporting The San Francisco 49ers to connect with their fanbase through interactive, customisable videos.

As part of their 75th Anniversary celebration, the California-based American football team commissioned Wasserman X’s CrowdAmp and Filmily to create a new digital feature for fans.

Filmily worked closely with the strategic and commercial marketing teams at the 49ers, contacts at Wasserman X, and The San Francisco 49ers digital app delivery agency, YinzCam, Inc., to create a bespoke digital solution embedded into the official 49ers app.

Within the app, fans are presented with a ‘Create your own Faithful to The Bay’ video story, and a call to action on the home page. From there, the 49ers Filmily Story blends photo and text submissions expressing team fandom and other personal passions uploaded by the fan, templatized 49ers imagery, and a team-centric soundtrack.

The final product is a ready-to-share customized video that fans are encouraged to post on their own social media accounts.

Andy Doyle, co-founder of Filmily, said: ‘It is so important to be able to reward fans and celebrate with them, Filmily, is really proud to be playing a small role in the in the 49ers fan engagement in such a special year’.
