The Devon-based tech firm that creates fan engagement apps - Filmily - is working with an American hockey team.

St Louis Blues’s fans will get access to the Filmily app, which will allow them to create Commemorative Tickets or a virtual keepsake with a photo. They will also be able to choose what seat they would like to be in - no matter where in the world they are if they cannot attend the game.

The Blues, who won  5-1 against Calgary Flames last week has a global following. Their fans - or  ‘Bluenatics’ - will also be able to join in with the chants of ‘Let's go Blues'. One of the app’s features will allow fans to record a personal ‘Lets go Blues’ karaoke chant, which will be broadcast on video walls in the stadium and posted across social media.

Matt Gardner, Vice President, Innovation & Digital Strategy at the Blues says “We strive to constantly find new ways of improving our fan experience and provide those wearing the Blue Note the ability to show off their fandom in new ways. We have a global audience, and it’s important that we connect with those fans in St. Louis, across North America and abroad.”

Andy Doyle, director at Filmily says “Working with a top flight NHL team such as the St Louis Blues is amazing, we are really looking forward to Matt and his team utilising the full power of Filmily for the rest of the season.”

The St. Louis Blues are a professional hockey team in the National Hockey League (NHL), and 2019 Stanley Cup Champions. Established in 1967, the Blues play in the NHL's Western Conference at Enterprise Center. The 665,000-square-foot arena seats 18,096 fans for Blues games.
