Bath-based Coding Bootcamp Support Diversity in Tech with £1,100 Off Course Fees

Award-winning coding bootcamp and tech training provider iO Academy has announced the re-launch of their successful Diversitech funding programme. The scheme offers contributions towards course fees of up to £1,100 to individuals from groups underrepresented in the tech sector including female, non-binary female, non-binary, transgender, ethnic minority and disabled applicants as well as parents and guardians returning to work after a career break.

Following a period of review in 2022, Diversitech has been simplified and restructured to offer more opportunities for more individuals to access tech skills or launch careers in software development. Applicants meeting any of the eligibility criteria are able to request funding assistance for a range of iO Academy courses including the flagship Full Stack Track software development bootcamp and Coding Quick Start introductory short course. Awards of up to 100% of applicable course fees are available and can be combined with other funding options including deferred payments and study-now-pay-later financing.

By simplifying and expanding Diversitech, we’re able to make quality tech training and opportunities more accessible and contribute to improving diversity at all levels of the tech industry.”

Since its introduction in 2019, Diversitech has provided more than £66,500 of funding to eligible individuals from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds, helping them launch careers in the tech industry. The scheme is funded largely by contributions from iO Academy industry partners including ON, Cushon, Blubolt, Ghyston and Mayden.
