Bristol software firm Ghyston has launched a new book club for tech professionals. The club aims to "provide a space where members can come together to explore various aspects of personal growth and development through books". Each month, the club will focus on a new book that addresses topics such as EDI, leadership, communication, and mindfulness.

The first book to be discussed is "Why I'm No Longer Talking To White People About Race" by Reni Eddo-Lodge. The book is described as "the essential handbook for anyone who wants to understand race relations in Britain today" and is a powerful examination of the complexities of race and class in modern-day Britain.

The aim is to provide tech professionals with the opportunity to learn about crucial topics and how they apply to the industry. Members will have the chance to share their own experiences and insights, as well as learn from others in the community. The book club is not just a chance to grow personally, but to build a supportive network of like-minded tech professionals.

Gemma Comley, Head of Marketing at Ghyston, said: “We are thrilled to launch Ghyston Book Club and provide a space where tech professionals can come together to explore important topics and grow both personally and professionally. We believe that through reading and discussion, we can create a supportive community that is dedicated to improving the industry and making a positive impact on the world."

The first meet up is taking place on the 23rd March at 12.30pm. Sign up at https://info.ghyston.com/the-ghyston-book-club
