Inyanga Marine Energy Group has appointed Brand Innovation to handle its strategic communications and PR. The company’s goal is to become the world leader in tidal stream energy arrays, using its innovative HydroWing technology.

The new Brand Innovation contract has kicked off with an international industry PR campaign to promote Inyanga’s plans and its latest new product development.

HydroWing was the largest tidal stream project in Wales to be successful in the UK government’s latest Contracts for Difference round, having been awarded a 10MW project at the Morlais tidal energy site in Anglesey, which will deploy in 2027.

The new campaign devised by Brand Innovation has already achieved significant coverage in media around the world, including in the USA, Europe, China, India, Singapore and Brazil.

Inyanga Marine Energy Group CEO Richard Parkinson said: “We have been greatly impressed by the impact of Brand Innovation’s work.”

Inyanga Marine Energy Group is the latest new business win for Brand Innovation in the fast-growing marine technology sector. Other Brand Innovation clients in this sector include Tugdock, Feritech Global, Armada Engineering and the €19.6 million wave energy project WEDUSEA, co-funded by Horizon Europe and Innovate UK.

Lynn File, MD of Liskeard-based Brand Innovation, said: “Inyanga Marine Energy Group is right at the forefront of innovation in offshore renewable energy. We are delighted to be asked to lead their strategic communications and we look forward to helping the company fulfil its ambitions.”
