Bristol-based healthtech firm Neuronostics has partnered with Neuroelectrics, a Barcelona-based pioneer in high-definition brain stimulation and EEG technology, to deliver an integrated EEG solution tailored for the pharmaceutical, contract research organizations (CROs) and academic partners.

EEG, or electroencephalogram, is a medical test used to measure the electrical activity of the brain. It can help diagnose a number of conditions including epilepsy, sleep disorders and brain tumours.

The partnership comes in the wake of a big win at the Tech South West Awards for Neuronostics, an innovator in advanced digital biomarkers and EEG analysis,  as they were recognised as the region's top HealthTech company as well as being named the overall winner of the evening.

The collaboration combines Neuroelectrics’ cutting-edge EEG hardware with Neuronostics’ proprietary analytics to streamline clinical trials and unlock new possibilities in neurological research.

Leveraging Neuronostics’ proprietary BioEP tool and Neuroelectrics’ premium EEG technology, an integrated platform will enhance cohort identification, streamline protocol design, and deliver precise EEG analysis, ensuring trials are both efficient and impactful.

John Terry, Managing Director at Neuronostics, stated: "This collaboration with Neuroelectrics creates a powerful offering that will enable EEG and digital biomarkers to make clinical trials more efficient and effective, leading to significant benefits for people with neurological conditions."

Ana Maiques, CEO of Neuroelectrics, commented: "At Neuroelectrics, we believe in advancing brain health through innovation. Our partnership with Neuronostics elevates clinical trials by integrating the best in EEG technology and analytics, enabling breakthroughs in neurology and psychiatry."
