New office space available at Cornwall's FibreHub
Highly sought after office space is becoming available at Cornwall's FibreHub.
The co-working and office space for technology, software and digital firms has space for new tenancies becoming available as early as next month.
Based in Pool, just off the A30, FibreHub built its reputation on the facilitation of collaboration amongst its tenants. With a popular on-site café open for use by anyone, as well as space for events and meetings of all sizes, the space provides multiple opportunities for networking. A new founder Friday session is also starting soon, with business leaders meeting in the café for casual networking.
Beyond office space, FibreHub is also expanding its capacity for co-working, with the creation of an additional area. Toby Parkins, co-founder of FibreHub explains: “People have hybrid working arrangements, or they’re freelance or setting up a business and that means they need flexibility. They don’t always need dedicated, full-time office space.
“We’ve seen people really benefit from regularly using the FibreHub co-working spaces and building relationships and connections, and so it made sense for us to create additional capacity to meet this need.”
Nick Barrell, Head of Asset Management for Constantine Wind Energy started off using the FibreHub for hotdesking, but later progressed to having a dedicated office space. “The hotdesks were an absolute blessing. There’s a wide mix of people using them and I built relationships with them, bounced ideas. When an office became available and another colleague joined me, it made sense to take our own space.
“For us it’s given the best of both worlds where we have our own dedicated space to work but also we’ve been able to maintain relationships with the other people in the building. The cafe is also a brilliant attraction, it makes coming to work a pleasure and working in FibreHub just gives you a great all-round experience.”
FibreHub opened in 2020 and quickly filled up with digital, technology and software businesses that wanted to benefit from co-location. Parkins comments: “We’ve had frequent feedback that the collaboration opportunities between businesses are a huge attraction. Some of our tenants have actually started doing business with each other, and for some it’s the ability to discuss challenges on a peer to peer level.
“Bringing the tech sector together was the initial idea for FibreHub so it’s great to see that working in practice.”
